A good restaurant CRM should do more than store customer data. It should help you understand customer behaviour, spot opportunities, and act on them faster than you could on your own.

That’s the question we kept coming back to this quarter: how can Reelo help restaurants understand their customers better and act faster? Here’s everything we shipped in April, May, and June to get there.

Campaign Copilot: an AI co-marketer inside Reelo

AI whatsApp campaign

Creating a campaign shouldn’t feel like starting from a blank page every time.

Most restaurant teams already know what they want. Drive weekday footfall. Promote a new menu. Bring back customers who haven’t visited in a while. The hard part has always been figuring out the right audience, offer, messaging, and channel to get there.

Campaign Copilot handles that part for you. Tell it what you’re trying to achieve, and it recommends the audience, messaging, offers, and channels most likely to help you reach that goal. It can generate ready-to-send WhatsApp, SMS, and email campaigns in minutes.

For restaurants running Reelo as their restaurant CRM, that means less time building campaigns and more time driving repeat visits.

What’s new:

Smarter recommendations based on customer behaviour and business type

AI-assisted campaign creation from a single prompt

Audience recommendations based on your campaign goal

Personalised messaging suggestions

Ready-to-send WhatsApp, SMS, and email campaigns

Real-Time Business Insights in Your Pocket

Key Highlights in mobile

Restaurant performance changes by the hour, not by the day.

Until now, most merchants checked their dashboard once or twice a day on the web. But the decisions that matter, comping a table, pushing a flash offer, calling in extra staff, often need to happen while service is still running.

Key Highlights is now live on the Reelo mobile app. You can track sales, orders, customer capture rate, repeat customers, average order value, and redemptions directly from your phone, with real-time updates and channel-level breakdowns across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.

What’s new:

Real-time business performance tracking on mobile

Sales and order monitoring across channels

Customer capture and repeat customer insights

Historical trend comparisons

Store-level performance visibility

Faster access to insights during service hours

Understand What’s Really Driving Performance

Restaurant owners don’t need more reports. They need clearer answers.

The Customer’s Story inside Daily Roundup now shows revenue contribution and average order value for new versus repeat customers, not just headcounts. That distinction matters: a brand with 60% new customers but 80% of revenue coming from repeat customers is running a very different business than a simple count would suggest. This new screen leads with whichever segment drove the larger share of revenue, so the headline always points to what’s actually moving the needle.

We’ve also added week-on-week comparisons for sales, orders, and loyalty redemptions, and improved reporting accuracy for restaurants on POS integrations where complete order data wasn’t previously available.

What’s included:

New vs repeat customer revenue contribution

Average order value comparison by customer segment

Week-on-week customer performance insights

Improved sales and orders comparisons

Loyalty redemption trend comparisons

More contextual customer insights across every story

Smart Retry now works on Auto Campaigns

Smart Retry has been improving WhatsApp delivery rates on manual campaigns for a while. It’s now available across Auto Campaigns too.

If a customer’s main campaign message doesn’t get delivered on WhatsApp because of Meta’s frequency-capping errors, Smart Retry automatically follows up, so the message still has a shot at reaching them.

Supported Auto Campaigns: Welcome First, Birthday, Anniversary, Win Back, and Bring Back.

Key highlights:

Up to 3 automatic retries, based on campaign type and trigger timing

Retries sent at 24-hour intervals

Enabled by default on new Auto Campaigns

Existing users can turn it on from campaign settings

Full visibility into Retry 1, Retry 2, and Retry 3 in customer logs and exports

New Smart Retry Impact reporting inside Auto Campaign Insights

Funnel reporting that shows the incremental delivery gains from retries

More granular permission controls for teams

Invite Team members in Restaurant CRM

Bigger teams and multi-store accounts need tighter control over who can do what. Invite Team Members now supports dedicated permissions for the Memberships module:

Membership Creation Access – restrict who can create or edit memberships

Membership Export Access – restrict who can export customer lists and redemption activity from Membership Insights

Membership Promotion Access – restrict who can promote memberships through Empower Your Team, in-store creatives, and campaign engagement

We’ve also added a permission under Customer Insights to control whether an invited member can block or unblock customers.

These controls give brands managing larger teams cleaner operational control without sacrificing flexibility.

What’s next

We’re continuing to build Reelo into a restaurant CRM that doesn’t just collect customer data, but helps you use it to drive repeat business and stronger customer relationships.
